God with Them (Theanthroposis and Inhuman Selves)
Some but not all of the views expressed here agree with those of C.S.Lewis in Perelandra.
Suppose that God has created another (presumably extra-terrrestrial) species of selves.
If that species is included in the human selfkind, it is "covered" by God the Mediator's one carnification, and his choice of species matters as little as his choice of race within that species, though the chosen species has a certain special honour and responsibility, just as the Hebrews did, since "of their race is the Christ" (Paul, Romans 9:5).
But if that species is of a different selfkind, they need a separate carnification; this may seem strange (imagine God's two carnifications meeting!), but it is not impossible.
However, all this is speculation, and it is usually convenient to assume that all selves are human. Those who confidently predict extra-terrrestrial or physically- or digitally-engineered selves are assuming that a hospitable environment would give rise to selves without God's help, an assumption we do not share.
